Paul Swider Greenstar Ambassador Paul Swider came to Greenstar in 1999 after several years of marketing and communications consulting in Washington, DC. He created and managed special communications projects for Greenstar, and was the company's focus expert on Africa, with successful experience in launching a Greenstar Solar-Powered Community Center in Patriensah, Ghana. Paul represented the company in Washington, DC, and also traveled in the field as an operations, technical and investment evaluator for Greenstar, especially to potential sites in Africa and Asia. He also did research and evaluation of Greenstar's open-source software initiatives. Paul has recently relocated to St. Petersburg, Fla., where he is exploring new projects in renewable energy and communications. Previously, Paul worked with PRIDE Africa, a microfinance organization based in Nairobi. He also worked for an investment banker on African projects and did projects for PEOPLink, an Internet marketer of crafts from developing countries. Paul volunteered as a business consultant with the US Peace Corps in Bulgaria, where he worked in ecotourism and agricultural marketing as well as Internet communications. Prior to the Peace Corps, Paul spent several years as a journalist for newspapers in Florida. For more than 10 years he has worked as a freelance journalist and essayist. Paul is a graduate in communications from the University of Illinois. Paul was in charge of Greenstar's most important outreach
programs, Premium Partners and Explorers, and helped to design
those programs. As a Greenstar Ambassador, Paul still does research
in business, finance and marketing for Greenstar, and writes
