Shown here are Arab Al-Kaabneh students with the school principal and President of the Village Council, Mr. Audi Nasir Al-Najada. Mr. Audi said the solar power system represents a big step that will open vast new horizons for not only the children but the entire village community.

Late in the evening of December 13, the night before Greenstar's installation, Mr. Al-Najada, the President of the Al-Kaabneh Village Council, and Mr. Ahmad Abu-Sabha of the Palestinian Energy Authority, examine papers regarding the management of the system.

Inspecting part of the new school solar array is Mr. Mahmoud Al-Magada (left). Mr. Al-Magada is part of a large, extended family living in Arab Al-Kaabneh. He commented that this solar power plant is the fulfillment of a great dream held by the Village Council for leaping into the 21st Century at full speed.

Three students sing a song to dedicate Greenstar. With them is Mr. Mohamed Salem, a teacher at the school in Arab Al-Kaabneh. The teacher said that access to electricity can open new horizons for all villages like Al-Kaabneh around the world. He added that remote schools will have the electricity needed for computers, and that by connecting computers through wireless communications, students all over the world will have access to the information and interaction of the Internet.
